How to Make Pizza on a Pellet Grill

READ FIRST: Protect yourself against charred pizza! Our trays are flammable and must be protected from direct exposure to the heat source. To prevent scorching or igniting the paper tray or Fresh Pan aluminum pan, place it on a heat-shielding surface, such as foil, a large metal baking tray, or a pizza stone. Pre-heat the pizza stone for 10 to 15 minutes for best results.




Step 1 - Preheat

Preheat pellet grill to 425–450°F. Start on SMOKE, allowing pellets to ignite. Switch to HIGH and heat for at least 15 minutes.

Step 2 - Prep the pizza
Remove the plastic wrap from the pizza. Put the pizza and tray on a heat-shielding surface. Place on the center of the pellet grill surface and close the lid. Note that if you have a thermometer in the lid of the grill, it will no longer read the correct temperature. Temperature should not be adjusted once grill is pre-heated.
Step 3 - Grill

Bake pizza on the pellet grill for approximately 20 to 30 minutes (baking times may vary). Do not leave the grill unattended. Check the pizza frequently by lifting the crust with a spatula. Rotate the pizza 1/4 turn every 5 minutes. Turn it, don't burn it!

Step 4 - Enjoy!

Remove the pizza and heat shield from the grill. Remove the pizza from the heat shield and let it stand for 5 minutes before cutting. Enjoy your grilled pizza!
